Second Annual ('Earth Hug') Ecohealth Global Summit

November 30 - December 1, 2023

The 2nd Annual Ecohealth Global Summit 2023 (aka 'Earth Hug') under the theme “Working together for a healthy, just, and sustainable future.” started November 30th 12pm SAST and featured eleven regional sessions, each offering unique perspectives and discussions.

‍The summit included:

Global Connection: Participants connected with leading professionals in Ecohealth, One Health, and Planetary Health, emerging scholars, youth, community organizations, and others who care about the justice and health. They discussed ongoing initiatives, challenges, and explore visionary ideas for the future.

Showcase of Global Work: We wanted participants to share their unique experiences and success stories in creating a healthier, just, and sustainable future. They submitted their stories on our Padlet: https://padlet.com/echo_network/GlobalEcohealthExamples2023Network

Learning: This opportunity expanded participants' network, they gained new knowledge, and contributed to a global movement and connection. They joined us in championing transformative participation, knowledge-to-action frameworks, and advocating for equity and justice.

Together, they formed a path towards impactful global change for a healthy, just, and sustainable future.
